Lenovo X300 vs. Apple MacBook Air… Fight!

As long as Lenovo is drawing a direct comparison between their own X300 and the MacBook Air, we thought we’d go ahead and put them side-by-side for you. So dear reader, how do you define perfection?

The Lenovo is a whole lot more expensive than the lower priced MacBook Air.
The Lenovo is also THICKER, THICKER, and THICKER.
A regular MacBook will fit in the Manila Envelope as well. And it costs a whole lot less.
THICKER and being the same weight means it is also more FLIMSY.
MacBook Air wins.

Fitting in an envelope doesn’t mean much in terms of usefulness. What really will matter is when a user buys either machine and in six months can still say they’re satisfied with it.
In the comparison they left out that the MBA is able to run both Windows (Vista or XP) and OSX Leopard, the multi-touch keypad and battery life (I wonder if the MBA has longer battery life than the Lenovo). As far as the USB ports are concerned, I’ve seen some very compact USB hubs that should easily make up for missing ports.
Feature comparisons are useless in determining which computer is better. That’s something a user has to decide after using it daily.
